About me ...

I'm originally from upstate New York, where I grew up captivated by the wonderous images I saw in magazines of the American west. I headed to the southwest after college and worked for over 20 years as a professional TV news photographer & editor, mostly in New Mexico and Colorado. I've won numerous awards during my photographic career, including ones from the Albuquerque Press Club, The National Press Photographers Association and an Emmy Award. Currently, I live slightly off the beaten path in the wonderful Rio Grande town of, Socorro, nm, where I work in educational video production at New Mexico Tech.

My personal photography has always been about trying to capture the mysterious beauty and magic that I see and sense in the world around me. In that regard, I've been very blessed with having the beautiful state of New Mexico become my home. The famous western photographer, Edward Weston said New Mexico is... "Where the heavens and the earth become one." Indeed they do. There's truly a very unique spirit and light to this land which I strive to capture in my photography. They don't call it "The Land of Enchantment" for nothing. It's the perfect home for me.
